A record of my outdoor adventures for work and play

18th February - Beinn Udlaidh
Less powder and colder, so a trip to Beinn Udlaidh. Jamie and I climbed South Gully of the Black Rocks (IV) and Green Eyes (IV,4). The ice was good, if a little brittle and there were lots of other teams out enjoying the conditions too.
I'm a freelance outdoor instructor based in the Outer Hebrides. I do quite a lot of work with activity centres and groups, but am also able to take families or individuals out to play in the mountains. Previous guises have seen me instructing ice climbing in Kinlochleven, pulling pints at the Clachaig, being a rep in Lapland, tour leader in France and activity instructor in some fairly random places in the UK. Who knows what the future holds!
